GEARING UP FOR SUMMER
As the end of another school year quickly approaches, the schedules in your homes change. No more early practices, catching the bus, making lunches, or dropping and picking up kids. For many families it’s a time of chillin’ at the pool, playing at the park, sleepovers in a tent in the backyard, camping and vacations.
Not so much for DF Kidz. Things are gearing up to provide great opportunities for your kids to Have Fun Learning about Jesus.
First on the list is VBS 2022 – ROAD TRIP TO REMEMBER, walking by faith with Abraham. It’s June 13-17, 9:00-noon. It’s for kids 4yrs old – completed 5th grade. It’s a great week full of adventures, crafts, and spending time writing God’s word on the hearts of our kids through scripture memorization. It’s a FREE event! Grandparents, I want to encourage you to gather up your grandkids and register them online for VBS. It truly will be a life changing week. REGISTER NOW
UNIQUE PROPS NEEDED FOR VBS:
It create this exciting adventure we are looking for a few unusual props. If you have access to any of the below and would be willing to loan out for the week, please contact me.
- Large attractive motorhome. No one will ever be in it.
- Old school bus. Kids will be in it, but it will NOT be started.
- Old gas station décor; signs, gas pumps . . . you get the idea.
Next up is JR. KIDZ KAMP, held at our beautiful Camp Cascade in Donnelly. It’s July 5th-7th for kids entering the 3rd and 4th grade. The cost is $150, which includes EVERYTHING! This 3-day camp is designed to give our young campers the opportunity to experience camp without being away from parents for 5 days. REGISTER NOW
KIDZ KAMP is July 11th- 15th, for kids going into 5th and 6th grade. It is also held at Camp Cascade in Donnelly. The cost is $200, which includes EVERYTHING! REGISTER NOW
KIDZ KAMP NEEDS:
- Bus drivers is our biggest need
- Driver to pull luggage trailer up to camp and back down
- Kitchen help
- Boats with drivers for tubing (July 12 and 13 only)
- Male counselors (background checks are run on all camp staff over the age of 18)
- Scholarships to help kids who would otherwise not be able to go.
- Prayer Warriors
We anticipate God working in great ways in the hearts and lives of our kids. In the world they are growing up in, please take every opportunity for them to experience God through His creation, His word, and His love shown to them through his faithful disciples.
