OCTOBER

O Lord of the Harvest,
You have declared that the fields are ripe for harvest, and we know that the laborers are few. Stir in our hearts a desire to sow the seed of the Gospel with courage and persistence. Help us to recognize the spiritual opportunities that are before us. Open our eyes to the souls that are weary and soften our hearts with compassion for them. Purify us and remove the worldly passions that make us ineffective for your service. Strengthen us, Lord, so that we may not grow weary in doing good. Empower us to bear the fruit of your Spirit, so that when the final harvest comes, we may rejoice with you forever. Amen.
